Bad news for the New York Yankees…

Luis Severino will not pitch in a Major League game until at least May 1, per Brian Cashman.

Severino has been dealing with a lat issue and was ruled out for Opening Day by Aaron Boone last week, but now we know it will be longer.

Severino led the way for New York last season, going 19-8 with a 3.39 ERA. He also started the AL Wild Card Game for New York.

In his absence, the Yankees will lean on James Paxton, JA Happ, Masahiro Tanaka and CC Sabathia.

We’ll have more on ‘The Huddle’ from 3-6 PM.
