The Boston Celtics lost last night to the Denver Nuggets, 96-92, but the big story was that Kemba Walker was stretchered off the floor in the second quarter in a scary moment.
Walker recorded a steal but then ran head first into Semi Ojeleye and was down on the floor.
Stretchered off as a precaution. Would be surprised if any permanent damage. Let’s hope for the best. https://t.co/n0DA3jd04j
After the game ended, we started seeing some positive results stream in:
Early indications are that Boston’s Kemba Walker did not suffer a significant injury in collision tonight, league source tells ESPN. Team has diagnosed him with concussion-like symptoms. https://t.co/Qu2LMTDwaW
And the best news of all:
The Celtics say Kemba Walker has been released to re-join the team after being evaluated at a local hospital. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow.
The Celtics went 2-3 on their five-game West Coast road trip and are now 11-4. They beat the Suns and Warriors but lost to the Suns, Clippers and Nuggets.
